I am Hemlata Pal from Dehradun. I make hand embroidered cross stitch hoops for home decor or gifting. 

I always wanted to start something like this since my daughter grew up but nothing could work out till recently.

Today, at 55 when I have the luxury of time, a loving family to help and platforms like these to support online,

I feel as if this was the perfect time to start.

It was during the 2020 lockdown when my whole family was back home and I took out my 20 year old hand embroidery artworks. My niece noticed it and asked, ‘Chachi (aunty), why don’t you start cross stitching again?

These are so beautiful.’ (that’s why the name 'Chachi Cross Stitch'). On the very same day, she opened an Instagram account for me and uploaded my artworks. There has been no looking back since then.
